INCA TRAIL TO MACHUPICCHU
2 DAYS AND 1 NIGHT
FIRST DAY:
Pick you up at your hotel between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. to
the bus station, soon to go to the train station located
at Ollantaytambo town, we catch the train to get to the
nearest station which is called Km 104.
From here, we began trekking for about 15 minutos and
arrive to the first archeological site of CHACHABAMBA,
in the course of the trekking we can observe the flora
and fauna of the zone. Likewise, from the spot we can
appreciate the great mountain of Machu Picchu and the
archeological site of CHOQUESUYSUY. approximately
3 hours later we will be arriving to the archeological
park of WIÑAYWAYNA, after a brief visit, we will
continue our trekking towards INTIPUNCO, from where we
will have a preliminar panoramic view of MACHUPICCHU,
and observe the beauty of the dask, 40 minutes later we
will go through MACHUPICCHU Citadel. This day we will
not be able to visit this site. We shall continue
walking for an hour more, towards the town of Aguas
Calientes, where a repairing supper will be waiting for
us at the restaurant. Next, we will prepare ourselves to
spend the night in a comfortable inn with private bath.
SECOND DAY:
The next day, very early,
we will breakfast at the hostal, and start our trekking
until INTIPUNCO. We will be able to observe the dawn,
soon we will get down to the citadel, where we will take
a short rest after which we will have a guided tour of 2
hours approximately. After that, you will have the
opportunity to appreciate the citadel calmly.
To return to Cusco there are different train schedules
as the ones of 1:00 p.m and 5:00 p.m, these go only
until OLLANTAYTAMBO, after that we will take you
to the city of Cusco by bus. There are two direct
schedules until Cusco that are the one of the 3:55 and
4:20 p.m. All these services are used during the peak
season.
